Pune: Tara Mobile Creches Pune (TMCP), a non-profit organization dedicated to the welfare of children of migrant construction workers, celebrated its Annual Felicitation Ceremony 2025 to recognize the academic excellence of its students.
Tara Mobile Creches Pune, which has been working for over 45 years to provide education, nutrition, and care to children of migrant families, organized the event to acknowledge students’ performance in the 10th and 12th Board Examinations.
The ceremony was held in the presence of Dr Jayashree Firodia, eminent paediatrician and philanthropist, who served as the Chief Guest, and Prajakta Shewale, Education Officer, Kolhapur Zilla Parishad, as the Guest Speaker.
TMCP President Madhura Gokhale, along with Directors, staff members, and supporters, also attended the event.

Students demonstrating outstanding academic performance were honoured with the Sindhutai Savardekar Award (for 10th Board toppers) and the Ramkumar Rathi Award (for 12th Board toppers).
Addressing the gathering, Dr. Firodia commended Tara Mobile Creches for its commitment to holistic child development through education, nutrition, and recreation. She inspired students to remain disciplined and to explore diverse career opportunities.
Guest Speaker Shewale motivated children to dream big and praised the organisation’s tireless efforts in ensuring that the children of migrating workers continue to receive quality education despite the hardships of mobility.
The event also featured captivating cultural performances by TMCP children and heartfelt reflections by alumni, who shared how the organisation’s daycare centres shaped their life journeys and professional growth.
Currently, Tara Mobile Creches Pune operates 19 daycare centres across Pune and nearby regions, providing early childhood care, health support, and educational opportunities to children from migrant worker families.
Through these initiatives, TMCP continues its mission of empowering children – nurturing their roots while helping them soar high with confidence and learning.
